IC 1011 is an elliptical galaxy located 349.5
million light-years away in the constellation of Virgo, and is a
member of the massive abell 2029 galaxy cluster. IC 1101 is the
largest known galaxy in our universe, with a diameter of 6
million light years, making it 60 times larger than the Milky
Way, containing 100 trillion stars. IC 1011's calculated age is
approximately 12.95 billion years.
